Workshop: Designing Memory Systems for AI Agents | 09:30-11:30
AI agents need memory to manage context, learn, and handle long-running tasks. This workshop offers a practical framework for architecting production-ready memory systems. You’ll explore types of memory, storage patterns, retrieval strategies, and memory lifecycle optimization. By building memory into an AI agent, you’ll see how design choices impact behavior. Earn a skill badge upon completion and gain resources to share with students. Pre-requisites include a laptop and access to Instruqt.
Workshop: Transforming IS Research and Teaching with Biometric Methods | 09:30-11:30
Behavioral and biometric methods are reshaping how scholars study user interaction and decision-making. This hands-on workshop introduces IS researchers and educators to webcam eye tracking, facial expression analysis, and multimodal online experimentation. Participants will explore how AI-powered behavioral analytics apply to UX, interface evaluation, digital communication, and human-AI interaction — and gain practical experience designing and analyzing remote behavioral studies that go beyond self-report measures.
Please bring a laptop with you for data collection exercises.
Workshop: Attracting, Preparing, and Sustaining a Technology Workforce in the Age of Rapidly Evolving Technology Solutions (SIG Lead) | 08:30-12:00

Workshop: Teaching Cybersecurity in IS Education through Experiential Learning | 10:00-12:00
This workshop demonstrates how experiential learning can enhance cybersecurity education in Information Systems (IS) programs for business school students with diverse technical backgrounds and abilities. Rather than focusing on technical expertise, the approach aims to develop a practical understanding of cybersecurity through applied learning. The session presents a triangulated pedagogical approach combining interactive web-based learning, network analysis tools, and case-based discussion.
Workshop: AI in Teaching Tutorial – Teaching Inside the Thread: An AI Centered Pedagogy | 15:00-16:30
AI in teaching raises pedagogical, practical, and methodological questions. This workshop addresses these questions in three parts. The Framework presents an AI-Centered Pedagogy for the AI era. The Companion is a hands-on interface attendees use live to triage a teaching goal, receive a tailored prompt, and engage with a custom AI agent calibrated for IS faculty. Under the Hood walks through the design and build process behind the first two parts, for faculty interested in adapting the approach. Pre-requisites include a laptop and a ChatGPT account (free tier acceptable).
