Doctoral Consortium
The AMCIS Doctoral Consortium is an interactive forum designed to help doctoral students build professional networks and learn from experienced faculty mentors and peers. We welcome doctoral students who have begun their Ph.D. programs and have not yet completed their comprehensive examinations, as well as students who have completed their comprehensive examinations, are actively working on their dissertations, and anticipate entering the academic job market within the next one to two years.
The 2026 AMCIS Doctoral Consortium is a two-day event. Throughout the consortium, participants will engage in a range of interactive activities intended to support the transition from doctoral student to academic professional.
Participants in the AMCIS 2026 Doctoral Consortium will:
-
-
- Build meaningful professional networks with peers and faculty mentors
- Explore research and teaching challenges and opportunities in the age of generative AI
- Strategize about research agendas, teaching approaches, and long-term career development
- Contribute to fostering a positive, inclusive, and supportive culture within the AIS community
-
Please note: All applicants approved for the Doctoral Consortium are required to register for the conference to gain access to the conference and to participate in the Consortium
